Treneese Hamilton Wins ShotPut Gold At The Carifta Games
ROSEAU, Dominica – Hamilton who is no stranger to the Carifta Games podium has once again added gold to her medal collection. The 18 year old sensation recorded a throw of 14.58m to defeat Britannia Johnson of Jamaica in the U20 Women’s Shotput event.
This performance by Hamilton was largely a success seeing that she topped the podium on her last appearance at the games.
According to Associate Times, while expressing pleasure over her victory, Hamilton noted, “I am very blessed and happy with my performance as I got a chance to represent my country and put my entire efforts on the table, which is an example for my teammates who are in competition yet. I really wish that our team could become able to achieve other medals as they all are capable of winning a medal.”
Hamilton now looks set to represent Dominica at other regional and international events later this summer.
The Carifta Games were held on April 16-18 2022 at the National Stadium in Kingston Jamaica.
