Journey Begins For Juniors At Development Meet # 1

Portsmouth Dominica- The Dominica Athletics Association held its first Track and Field meeting of the 2020 season on Sunday February 2nd at the Benjamins Park. 

Athletes competed in the standard four categories for development meetings. The categories were under 13, under 17, under 20 and an open category. All Track and Field disciplines were contested during this event with the exception of the Multi Events. 

Top performances include:

Under 13 Girls:

Kanara White – 80 meter dash -12.2 seconds

Aneesha Pinard – 80 meter dash -12.3 seconds

Under 17  Women:

Mickaylah Joseph – Long Jump – 4.58 meters

Carla Bunche – 1500 meter run – 6:09.5 seconds

Under 20 women:

Alika St. John – Shot Put – 10.30 meters

Keva Pierre – 800 meter run – 2:34.9 seconds

Under 20 men:      

Chester Durant -800 meter run – 2:09.5

Sarwan Ogiste -800 meter run – 2:09.6

Khian Boston – High Jump – 1.70 meters
