Dennick Luke Qualifies For The Bermuda 2020 Carifta Games
Hayes, Jamaica- Dominican middle-distance runner Dennick Luke qualified for the 2020 Carifta Games at the Ben Francis Invitational. Luke, who competes for the Edwin Allen High School clocked 4:16.87 to win the boys class 1 1500m run and register a new personal best time.
This level of performance is by no means new to the young Dominican. Dennick has also registered a new personal best time of 1:55.43 in the 800m this season. He will make a second push to achieve the 1:55.2 Carifta Qualifying standard to complete the 800m, 1500m double.
President of the Dominica Athletics Association (DAA), Mr. Godwin Dorsette, is extremely confident in Luke’s ability to continuously deliver quality times and potentially medal at the Carifta Games.
This years Carifta Games will be held on April 10-13 in Bermuda at the National Sports Complex.
