Hamilton, James Secure Carifta Qualifying Marks

Portsmouth, Dominica- On Sunday 20th February, the Dominica Athletics Association held a successful first development meeting for its 2022 Track and Field season.

The development meet which took place at the Benjamins Park in Portsmouth boasted two athletes who met entry standards for the 2022 Carifta Games.

Treneese Hamilton who is already qualified in the U20 Women’s Shotput, added the Women’s Discuss event to her list. She did so by recording a throw of 38.30 meters.

Addison James of the Wesmar Rangers Athletic Club threw 51.57 meters to qualify in the U17 Boys Javelin.

The 49th edition of the annual Carifta Track and Field Games is scheduled to take place on the 16th-18th of April in Kingston Jamaica.
