DAA Names Eleven Member Carifta Games Team
ROSEAU, DOMINICA- The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) has selected 11 athletes to represent Dominica at the 49th Edition of Caribbean the Carifta Games, carded for April 16th to 18th 2022 in Kingston Jamaica.
The team is led by 4 times Carifta medalist Treneese Hamilton. Hamilton has qualified in three events which includes the Javelin Throw, Shot Put and Discuss Throw in the U20 women’s category.
Although the team is not as big as others in the past but the DAA is excited about the performance athletes will demonstrate at the games.
Ratified to the team are the following:

Faithlean Kalima Simon (100m,200m), Kerelle Etienne (100m, 200m)
U17 Boys
Addison James (Javelin)
U20 Women
Jemerly Lawrence (100m, High Jump)
U20/Open Men
Nathan Telemaque (Octathalon)
Malachi Cuffy (800m)
Neo Davis (1500m, 5000m)
Joshua St. Jean (100m and 200m)
Peter Daniel (100m and 200m)
Peterson Daniel (Javelin)
Accompanying the team are five officials:
Walson Pacquette as Head Coach, Smith Hypolite as the teams Physiotherapist, Natasha Jervier as an Assistant Coach/Chaperone and Godwin Dorsette as Congress Delegate.
Mr. Godwin Dorsette who is also the Associations President, wants to congratulate all the members of DAA team and wish them well. The Dominica Athletics Association would like to give thanks to all those who made team Dominica’s participation in the games possible.
