Silver For Addison James At The Carifta Games
ROSEAU, DOMINICA- Addison James claimed his first Carifta medal by securing second place in the boys U17 Javelin event. He recorded a throw of 50.17 meters to place ahead of Dylan Morin from Martinique. All six attempts by the very talented James saw 45 meters and better in the Javelin final. Although James was not able to secure first spot, his pursuit in topping the podium was courageous and deserves a tremendous amount of praise.
James earned the honor of being one of Dominica’s two medalists at the games. The other medalist was Treneese Hamilton by way of gold.
The Dominica Athletics Association remains greatly proud of its medalists achievements and encourages the remainder of the 11 member delegation to keep striving.
The 49th edition of the CARIFTA Games was held from the 16th to 18th of April at the National Stadium in Kingston Jamaica.
