DAA Caricom 10K Trial Drawn Large Athletes Contingent.

Portsmouth, DOMINICA- The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) in collaboration with Dominica Sports Division hosted it’s 2022 version of the Caricom 10K trial.

The 10K road-race kicked off at 8:00am on Sunday 5th June. The race course started at Pointe Round and ended at the Morrocan hotel in Portsmouth. Despite the challenging race course, our amateur athletes took advantage of perfect weather conditions which was a major performance factor.

All DAA affiliated clubs and schools were present and well represented at the event.

Top performers were Carla Bunche in the female category and in the male category, Neo Davis. The winners secured their spots to represent Dominica at the Caricom 10K in Suriname. The event is carded to take place on July 2nd 2022 at Independence Square Suriname at 5:30pm.

President Williams applauded all the participants and congratulated the winners on their performances . He also encouraged them to keep on training. The DAA wishes Carla and Neo all the best on race day in Suriname.
